I would make mini hamburgers, ground beef is cheap, and use little dinner rolls, serve them with potato skins with some parmasean green onion and sour cream, a veggie tray with dip made from some onion soup mix, and cream cheese and sour cream!. For the drinks a punch is best, you can use vodka raspberry or cranberry juice with some ginger aleWww@FoodAQ@Com

They sell frozen bags of meatballs!. Put them in the crock pot with bbq sauce, sweet n sour, etc!. also the little wieners in bbq!. Crackers with lunch meat/cheese slices or some kind of spread!. Add them to a fruit & veggie tray and your all set!. I'd choose either daiquiris or margaritas to drink!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

If you have a Sam's Club or a Costco, they have the best snack trays!.

White Zin is always welcomed!. also, Sangria!.!.!.Buy a lge bottle, it's cheap, pour into a bowl n slice oranges, a few lime if you want, grapes!.!.!.actually any fruit you can get your hands on!.

Have fun!Www@FoodAQ@Com

at parties that we have, we usually use cheap food, such as hot dogs, or chips and dip like you said!. You could buy some meat (70% Lean) and serve it to them!.

How about a cheese/bread platter to go alongside the fruit tray!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

by all the storebrand stuff!.!. and vodka its cheap and put in hawwian punch or coke dats wat i doWww@FoodAQ@Com

Alcohol: You can make a pretty good punch with only 1 type of liquor!. In a punch bowl add enough V8 Splash for the amount of people coming, 1 pint rum (Captn Morgans or an unflavored Rum, any will be fine), 1/2 can HI-C, and 1 bottle of plain Soda Water!. Serve with ice!.

*You can make with Vodka too!.

Snacks:
Black Bean Dip is super inexpensive!

Put 1 can drained rinsed black beans in a blender or food processor with 1 tsp!. cayenne, 1 clove garlic, dash tabasco, 2 T salsa, 1tsp!. salt, juice from a lime, and 1 T vegetable oil or olive oil, and blend until smooth!. Serve chilled with tortilla chips!.
I usually top my black bean dip with shredded cheese, sour cream, ciltantro, and diced tomatoes, but its good w/out all of that too!.

Serve salsa, hummus and veggies!.

Something quick and easy too is --- get a bag of pre-made meatballs (about $6) and toss 'em in a crock pot!. Top with 1 whole bottle of your fave bbq sauce and a can of drained pineapple!. Stir and heat for about an hour before the party!.

you should be able to browse and find many punch recipes that only require a small amount of ingridients, just substitute the name brand liquor for a cheaper version!. One good recipe idea that is very cheap that we serve at parties is a spinach dip, recipe can be found on Lipton onion soup box which is one of the ingridients, small bag of frozen spinach, sour cream, water chestnuts, and bread or crackers to spread on and your guests will be digging into it all night, I know I don't move from it the whole evening!. also meat and cheese trays are always a easy cheap way to go!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

If you want to do a fruit and veggie tray that will stretch, I suggest you do the prep work yourself!. Buy the cherry tomatoes, but get things like carrots, celery, a whole watermelon, bagged grapes, and maybe radishes in bulk!. Clean, cut, and arrange them yourself!. Why pay more for pre-made platters, when you can get twice the food for an less!?

Some sort of meatball is a good idea for parties like this!. You can buy premade meatballs (you have saved money with your fruit and veggies), put them in your crock pot with 1-2 bottles of barbecue sauce, and serve!.

If you really want to go "all out", get a few bags of tortillas, cut them into triangles or squares, bake or deep fry until crispy, and season with a premade taco seasoning!. Serve with salsa, bean dip, or cheese!.

Split your guest list in half!. Ask one half to bring one bottle of alcohol and the other half to bring mixers!. Let them know that snacks will be provided and make sure that you play some games with prizes so that people feel that they are walking away with something!. The prizes can be cheap candles, or bath oils dressed up with bows!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
