Casual Dinner party menu!

Question: Casual Dinner party menu
i am throwing a very casual dinner party and wanted opinions on the menu!.
My sisters boyfriend has been asking for cheesy potatoes, so I tried to create a menu around that!. (Which isn't easy to do unless you resort to hot dogs!)

Baked Brie Appetizer (okay mainly cuz i have a taste for it!)
Chicken Artichoke Casserole (Still experimenting with a recipe- but something like this, chunk chicken, artichoke hearts, garlic, little mayo and dijon mixed together and spread into a baker!. topped with spinach, then topped with parmesan cheese!. Sprinkle with bread crumbs and bake)
Cheesy potatoes
Cucumber and tomato salad
Apple Cinnamon Wontons for dessert

Too much cheesiness!?
Suggestions!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:

how about a simple hot ham and rolls to go along with the cheesy potatoes!. or some type of breaded chicken breasts or fried chicken would be good also!. the cuc salad and wontons sound delish!

you asked !.!.!.i think you have too much cheese!.!.but if thats what you all like go for it

what if you did a baked potatoe bar, bake the potatoes, not microwave them and have several toppings, including cheese, maybe 2-3 kinds of cheese, butter, sourc cream, some veggies, brocolli, tomatoes, chives

or several appetizers, fried cheese sticks, cheese dip, potatoes wedges, chciken wings, meatballs and maybe a salad to balcne it out

Would you like anything else with your cheese, ma'am!?

Baked brie is soooooo!.!.!. 1986!. I'd lose it!.

Cheesy potatoes are too heavy!. Really!. Is your sister's boyfriend 15!? They just don't go with anything else except!.!.!. the brie!.

Lose those two and keep the rest and you'll be fine!. Sorry!.

I've hosted many a dinner party, and I do most of the cooking!. I usually pair meals with wines, starting with crudite and hummus, and if you HAD to have a cheese course some goat cheese with fruit!. The wine would be a nice sauvignon blanc for the goat cheese!.

If you want to do chicken and artichoke together, try stir frying!.

Cucumber and tomato salad goes nicely!. Be sure the viniagrette isn't too overpowering!.

Dessert seems fine!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

yes to much cheese, it will be a very salty dinner!. Choose something else beside the Chicken Artichoke Casserole!. Try a pork tenderloin over the grill!. also, don't be afraid to add some greens to the dinner!. I like green beans with almond slivers and bacon!. Or some summer squash with onions!. That just seems like a very heavy salty dinner!. No offense!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
