How can I entertain my guests at the party that i'm having?!
I already have a movie and music and some video games, food, but what else can I do to entertain everyone, we are all college students, 30 dollar budget!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I say scratch the movie, unless it's something really important that's the focal piece of the party (like, you're going to watch "Batman Begins" at your party, then all go out the next night and watch "The Dark Knight")!. The most important thing is for people to interact -- that's what'll keep them there, keep them happy, and make them want to come back!.
Music is good, but keep it low so it doesn't overpower conversation (or upset the neighbors, a sure-fire way to kill any get together)!. I don't recommend asking friends to provide the entertainment (like a band or whatnot) -- that kicks up the formality of the party and makes your guests feel like they have to sit quietly and listen!. I have a lot of musician friends though, so what I typically do is leave a guitar (or two) in a conspicuous place!. If they feel comfortable, they're bound to pick it up and start playing!. Much more relaxed but you get the same "Hey, look how artsy we are!" factor!. And then people are more likely to feel comfortable talking, singing along, and/or passing the guitar around!.
Spend your entire budget on food, for sure, but keep it to simple things people can eat with their hands -- no silverware or dishes necessary!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

My goodness - how long do you expect this party to last!? Just watching the movie then, talking about it, talking about the food, plus talking about video games will fill four hours!. From many years ago, I remember playing charades and twenty questions - it's nice to exercise the imagination (and brain) on occasion!. Depending upon the number of people you're expecting, it's interesting to do an in-depth "look" at the characters portrayed in the film you watch !.!.!. I think the art of discussion has become, almost, lost within this new world of "entertain me"!. I've never had a dinner-party where guests have left the table in under three hours unless the evening included an invitation to play Bridge, Hearts, or Scrabble!. People make their own entertainment (usually) so my advice is, don't tie your guests to a Schedule of Events - relax and pretend you're a guest !.!.!. this is the secret to enjoying entertaining!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
Do any of your friends have talents they'd be willing to lend to your party for free!? Pianists!? guitarists!? Are any of them in a small jazz band or ensemble and they'd be willing to play for an hour or two for free drinks and food!?
