Question: I am drinking water with every meal instead of pop/soda,do you think this will help me to shed 5 pounds!?
I don't want to exclude my favourite foods !.I am just trying not to over do it!.However, i cut soda,cookies and sweets!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

yes you should lose 5 pounds or even more!. I have quit soday 2 months ago and have lost 6 pounds now!. It wont happen over night!. I have also quit eating anything past 7p at night which is also helping!.

this will absolutely help!.!.!.!.it may take a few weeks to shed 5 pounds if you are not including exercise!.!.!.but yes, lowering caloric beverages/sweets is a sure way of doing it!. another way is to calculate your calorie intake needed to lose 5 pounds based on your age, height, weight, body frame!. google it and then you'll be counting calories, but yea, it works!. i lost 70 lbs from counting food calories and subtracting calories burned in working out!. :)

example: my resting metabolic rate allows me to burn -700 calories a day (should i just sit in bed and do nothing)!. then to that number, i added the calories of food i ate (let's say 1200)!.
-700 + 1200 = 500
so, i tried to burn at least half that every day at the gym (jogging lightly on the eliptical for 25 mins burns a little over 250 calories)!.
500 - 250 = 250!.!.!.!.!.meaning my body only consumed an extra 250 calories a day, everything else was essentially burned off for energy!. ;) it works!Www@FoodAQ@Com

That's a really good start!. also try smaller portions of your favorite food!. (fill up a small plate) Your eyes will signal your brain to make it look like it is a large plate of food and you will be full faster! Drinking water does many great things for your body, try not to go over 64 ounces a day though!. You will certainly be healthier not eating refined sugar products like you mention!.

A lot of your digestive metabolism is to do with the right balance of nutrients you take in to produce the enzymes you need to effictively break food down etc!.

The other thing to consider is the energy you take in and the energy you use!. Probably not!. You need to cut out ALL bad drinks!. Stick to water, tea, and coffee (no sugar)!. To ween yourself off these terrible (sugar = fat) drinks, Begin to drink orange juice and slowly dilute it with water!. But fruit juice isn't' the answer either!. Cutting out the sugars that comes in soda, cookies and sweets will definitely help but if your favorite foods are fast food like burgers, fries, pizza, fried chicken, it will help even more if you cut down on your intake of these foods as well!.
