I know a desert is barren.

If it was absolutely imperitive, then yes, I would eat my own foot. But only if I would be stranded for about three months time. If any shorter a time, then no. I would probably eat leaves. :D
Would I have to chew it off of my leg or would I have to try to cut it off? I'm worried if I left it attached, then I wouldn't really want to stop and probably keep going.
Either way, I think the loss of blood would make starvation much less of a concern.
