40th Birthday!!?!
Answers: Its my Husbands 40th next week, he does not want a party or make a fuss but I want to celebrate it and make it more than just any other birthday what should we do?
i think you should invite some of his and your friends over to your house and have a cocktail party???
you could make some vodka jellies and some martinis?
another think you could do is find a spare table and put vodka and gin on the table, then grab some plates an fill thm with different pieces of fruit such as chunks of pineapple, cherries, peach slices, slices of oranges lemon and limes, and also have a variaty of different fruit juices so the guests can go up to the table and add a flavor to thei gin or vodka that they really like?
if you don't drink do exactly the same but cut out the vodka and gin? if you don't drink a good idea would be to have a drinks fountaion and add a non alcoholic punch?
play dvd games and serve some peanuts and cheese and crackers?
I know thee feeling 40 th coming up soon , go away for a weekend somewhere you know he will enjoy.
Book a nice hotel for the weekend for the pair of you - have a lovely meal and then enjoy yourselves!!

Don't do the black theme...and the RIP items.....do something to celebrate the next 40 years of his life.
Go on a day or night cruise maybe somewhere romantic, but somewhere on the water would be a nice to celebrate a birthday.
what is he into? sports, movies, concerts....anything in particular that you know he likes to do? maybe get tickets to a basketball or hockey game, any concerts in your area that he may like, a play maybe? how about a tour of a local brewery then go out to eat someplace. my husband would love it if I surprised him with a trip to the strip club- maybe yours would too!? dinner at his favorite steak place then go see some manly movie at the theaters. comedy club maybe for a few laughs. get a few of his buddies together and send them off to a paint balling place......really depends on what type of activities he likes! make it a fun day of some kind of activity and make all his favorite meals for him or go to his favorite places.

Depending on where you live you could take him out for a nice romantic dinner, and an evening stroll in a romantic place, like a park to watch the sunset, or the waves roll in on the beach, walk through the snow together with a glass of champagne.
