What rack setting should I set in the oven for sugar cookies?!


Question: What rack setting should I set in the oven for sugar cookies?
I never baked before, but am making sugar cookies for my boyfriend for valentines day and I really don't want to mess up. I have an oven that has 6 rack setting. Do I set it in the middle or on the highest setting? thanks!

Middle with a conventional oven, Doesn't matter with a fan oven.

Put them in the middle rack so they don't burn . You can always move them up to finish baking and brown them slightly at the end if you wish.
