Can anyone give me a recipe for the 'mini' hotdogs cooked in the...?!

Question: crock pot? I have had it, it was delicious; however do not have a recipe. Would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, and Happy New Year to you.

Here's a friend's recipe she calls "Smucky Kielbasa"(cut up Kielbasa or smoked sausage) but I've made it with Lil' Smokies. Take about a cup of brown sugar and put it in the crock pot. Add a splash of Worcestershire and just enough BBQ sauce (maybe a few tablespoons) to make a thick paste out of the brown sugar. Add several packages of mini dogs (and the juice in the packs) and stir to mix. Have the crock pot on high for several hours before the party and then turn to a lower temp.

Cocktail sausages
1 bottle of Bullseye or KC Masterpiece BBQ sauce original
1 small jar of grape Jelly

combine the 3 ingredients....cook low in crock pot...easy, simple , delicious!

P.s. You MUST get a gr8 BBQ sauce though!

There are several recipes for them. Here's a good one. It sounds strange but it's really delicious:

2 packages cocktail wieners (Little Smokies)
1 bottle chili sauce
1 jar grape jelly

Combine all ingredients in crockpot. Cover; cook on low for 6-8 hours. Serve hot with toothpicks.

aka Vienna sausages

Don't know about using a "Crock Pot" but back home we use to steam 'em in Beer your choice

Try the mini smoked sausages they will not get mushy. You will also need some bar b-q sauce put everything in together and let it simmer for about 35 min. Eat and enjoy.

I make one with bbq sauce and grape jelly also, but there are several other ingredients to make the sauce. It can be simmered on top of the stove or done in a crock pot. I do mine with mini meatballs (a pain to make but delicious after simmering in that sauce) and the hot dogs, but you can certainly leave them out.

COCKTAIL MEATBALLS & HOTDOGS
Ingredients
Chafing dish & sterno
toothpicks

lg. pkg (or 2 pkgs) hotdogs* (don’t use the kind that plump when ya cook ‘em!)
Meatballs
2-3 lbs. gr. beef
2 tsp fresh garlic – crushed
salt & pepper
2 eggs (1 egg/lb. of gr. beef)
1 tbs. parsley

Sauce
2/3 to 1 cup grape jelly
2 lg. bottles barbecue sauce
Salt & pepper to taste
sm. can tomato sauce (Optional)
2 tbs garlic powder
2-3 tbs brown sugar
1 tsp. dry mustard
water if desired for volume and desired thickness

Directions
1. In a large pot or Dutch oven, mix all sauce ingredients
2. In large bowl, mix all ingredients for meatballs thoroughly with hands
3. Roll mixture into approx. 1” balls
4. Add meatballs and hot dog pcs. to sauce and cover
5. Cook on low heat (light boil) for a minimum of 2 hours. Stir occasionally. (or 4-5 hours in the crock pot)
6. Keep warm until ready to serve. Place in chafing dish and keep warm with sterno
7. Place on table with container of toothpicks and cocktail napkins and small plates

* You could certainly use cocktail franks for this recipe, but they are MUCH more expensive than cutting up a few pkgs. of hot dogs.
* If you don't have a chafing dish, just make sure you serve this dish hot in an attractive serving piece.

A friend that does catering does this,
Lil' smokies
1 pkg. of chili seasoning
1 jar of APPLE Jelly

It isn't has twangy as with grape.
