Is there another beer comparable to Hobgoblin?!

Question: I first tried Hobgoblin because I visited England and I saw it in a pub, but did not try it and thought nothing of it until I saw it in a Whole Foods. I tried it and I love it. The problem is, I now live too far from any Whole Foods and the only liquor store remotely close to me that carries it is about 20 miles away and they never have more than a couple bottles, which I gladly scoop up. I have tried and like a few of the other dark ones, including Guiness and Maredsous (both good) but I'm wondering if there is anything that tastes similar to Hobgoblin?

Where do you live?? I feel your pain. I drink a brand of beer called Yuengling. I got hooked on em when I lived in Tampa, Florida. I know live in Chicago and Yuengling is only distributed to like 10 states along the east coast NY,PA,FL,SC,NC,VA,AL,MD,DC, and DE. So everytime I go to visit my inlaws in PA or my family in FL I buy like 4 cases of it..lol They make a dark beer called Yuengling's Dark Brewed Porter its been the same recipie and been brewed since 1829. Its good stuff! They also make a damn good black and tan. If your in one of those states check it out its good.. Hope this helped.

Hobgoblin is more of a dark ale than a stout. Usually only microbrews make the ruby ales. If you can try St. Rogue Red. Very hoppy like Hobgoblin.

No, there's nothing else like it. Hobgoblins is the #1 beer among garden gnomes for good reason.
