Can chicken smell slighly rotten even after being throughly cooked?!

Question: I cooked 30 lbs of chicken. I went ahead and took the meat off the bones and put it in the fridge. While I was taking it apart it smelled kinda funny. I've heard chicken smells funky but would it be safe to eat?

Did you leave it sitting out a long time? Are you sure it was thoroughly cooked to a proper internal temperature? If it still smells bad to you after it has chilled, get someone who is familiar with the way chicken should smell and ask them. Do not let anyone eat any of it until you are sure it is okay. You don't want to give a bunch of people salmonella poisoning.

please stop eating chickens

Chicken shouldn't smell funky after it's been cooked. How long did you leave in the fridge before cooking it?

you must not have cooked it properly..

If it smelled that way after it was cooked, it probably smelled that way before it was cooked. The meat is probably bad. I would not take a chance of eating it.

if the chicken smells slightly funny as you say then there is a good chance it has gone off and my advice to you is not to eat it unless you want to contract a very bad stomach problem like food poisoning throw it away what ever you do don`t eat it THROW IT AWAY

i wouldn't eat it
